The following are instructions for installing the open source Sugar CRM community version on your Bluehost.com web host account.

  1. Download the full installation file package from sugarcrm.com
  2. Unzip or Unpackage the the tar or zip file
  3. Upload the contents of your Sugar CRM folder to your directory of choice via FTP
  4. Login to your Bluehost Cpanel and click on the MySQL Databases button on the mainpage of your cpanel.
  5. Create a new database
  6. Now create a new user
  7. Now attach the user and the database you just created together
  8. Open up your php.ini file and change your PHP Memory limit to 60M and your upload file size to 6M
  9. Run the SugarCRM Install script by pointing your browser to the base URL of your website (e.g., http://www.example.com)
  10. Bluehost already is preconfigured to meet all of the configurations that SugarCRM requires, so continue through the setup wizard
  11. Choose the "Typical Install" option
  12. Provide database connection information
  13. Setup your administrator Password
  14. Click the install button

    15. You should now have a perfectly running Sugar CRM on your Bluehost webhosting account. Congratulations. Total installation time on average is about 20 minutes with Bluehost.
